We are currently recruiting for a Receiving Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Worcester - Cape Town.
The Receiving Manager is responsible for accurately receiving all deliveries to stores and dispatching returns to vendors. This role minimizes shrinkage risk at receiving doors, manages stock disposal per company policy, and handles all administrative functions related to receiving procedures. The Receiving Manager also controls entry for visitors and merchandisers.
Key Responsibilities: Receive and return goods systematically and accurately according to company policies and procedures.Conduct quality checks on incoming shipments.Ensure the maintenance of the cold chain.Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards.Adhere to and enforce security procedures.Assist with relieving security procedures at the back door.Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages.Complete all relevant administration and documentation.Operate equipment according to laid down standards.Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards.Perform key holder responsibilities.Minimum Requirements: Matric Grade 12.Experience as a receiving supervisor.Ability to read and interpret reports.Proven capability to achieve results through others.Strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.Excellent personal communication skills.Strict adherence to standards, procedures, and policies.Customer-oriented with strong communication skills.Business-minded with the ability to work long, flexible hours.Physically demanding role that may involve working under various weather conditions.High level of confidentiality.Problem-solving skills to generate workable solutions for unfamiliar problems.Reliability and trustworthiness.Commitment to completing tasks to high standards of quality, precision, and accuracy.Ability to prioritize and address urgent matters immediately.Adherence to rules and regulations.Focus on completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies and mistakes.Teamwork and active participation to achieve goals.Clear and effective communication, with the ability to assert influence confidently and fairly.
