Rebuilds Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:Maintenance & repair of machinery and equipment: Battery Scoops, Roof Bolters, LHD, Coal cutters, Shuttle cars, Gathering arm Loader, Face Drill, Tractors, LDVs Working according to mine standards and proceduresEnsuring all equipment is inspected and repaired to OEM standardEnsuring all safety devices are operationalTraining and coaching of subordinatesOverhauling of components forming part of machine rebuildsPreparing parts and installations in the assembly process of a rebuild/repairResponsibility of validating quality of work through established proceduresTraining and utilization of apprentices to increase productivityServicing and maintenance of company vehicles. Field servicing on breakdowns and maintenance, with the responsibility of fault finding Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 or equivalentDiesel Mechanic TradeDrivers license code EBFlameproof CertificateGas testing will be advantageous Minimum of three years of relevant experience in document writing & document controlProven experience in mining/ engineering in coal mining environment Strong health and safety recordsExcellent communication skillsSelf-motivated, safety & production orientatedAbility to work in a team, under pressure and without supervisionWillingness to do standby duties and work overtime
