Main Objectives The purpose of this role is to oversee all the technical functions of the Department of Chemistry, including running of chemical stores, running of undergraduate laboratories, instrument maintenance, laboratory maintenance, and to provide technical support.
The Requirements A bachelor's degree (NQF 7) with majors in a science-based subject or equivalent technical qualification (NQF 7) with majors in a science-based discipline plus approximately 6 years' relevant experience where such experience includes:
Appropriate physical or chemical science technical experience/certification (computer-based instrument repair, troubleshooting) Experience in the maintenance of electronic analytical equipment Supervision of a team Previous experience working in a technical environment Previous experience working with maintenance safety standards Application Process It is essential that prospective candidates read the job profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date. Remuneration per annum (Grade 13): Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R511,439.00
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R673,903.00
