Multimedia and Learning Design Specialist (Grade 11)
Centre for Higher Education Research, Teaching and Learning (CHERTL)
CHERTL invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives:

To provide support to and advise lecturers and course teams on designing pedagogically sound and high-quality blended and online course sites, activities, and materials.
This includes the full production process of multimedia content (video, podcast, newsletter, websites, blogs, etc.) and learning design as part of a team working on multiple projects simultaneously.
The incumbent will contribute to the EdTech team's professional development offerings for the RU community.

The Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree (preferably Honors Degree) with at least two years' experience where such experience includes:

Experience in supporting learning design in higher education.
Experience in supporting multimedia content development for teaching and learning in higher education.
Understanding of multimedia design considerations to support blended and online learning.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Moodle content creation tools, etc.
Track record and portfolio of multimedia projects.
Previous experience creating multimedia using content authoring tools such as iSpring, Adobe Captivate or H5P and knowledge of Universal Design Learning (UDL) principles would be a distinct advantage.
Project Management skills and knowledge of Creative Commons licensing would be beneficial.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 11):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R380 997
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R510 672
