Key Output Assist the mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and/or components. Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the mechanic/technician has them within reach. Physically lift, keep in place and/or move up to 20kg or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for larger objects. Clean and maintain facilities and equipment/tools. Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for jobs. Maintain a safe and orderly workplace. Gather suppliers/parts for work to be performed. Qualification, Experience and Competencies Grade 12/Equivalent. Ability to obtain certification as a forklift operator within 90 days of appointment. Basic knowledge of machine maintenance procedures. Basic knowledge of earthmoving machines. Driver's licence – Code B will be an added advantage. Ability to understand Sis and follow SOP. Compliant with construction and mining safety regulations.
