Employer DescriptionOur client is an EPCM company.Job DescriptionCoordinate the mechanical engineering effort within the project team to meet the project schedule and budgetAssist engineering manager with accurate forecasting of discipline manpowerPrepare/ review technical specifications, contract specifications, calculations, reports, design criteria, tender documents, installation contract documents and other documents required by the projectEnsure that the designs produced support the method of construction and ease of plant maintenance and operationsProvide technical guidance and best practice inputs to the rest of the mechanical teamCoordinate with relevant managers to develop and update the discipline technical quality assurance checklists and processesConduct technical audits of the mechanical and piping disciplines on projectsProvide mentoring to younger engineers to develop the required skillsetsLiaise with site construction staff on technical queries on resolution of engineering design issuesPrepare project close out reports with comparison of design and procurement budgetsQualificationsBSc/BEng/BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential)ECSA Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration (essential)SkillsOver 10 years working experience essentialExperience in mining and minerals processing area in the design office and in the fieldMaterials Handling experience (Bins, Chutes, Conveyors, Crushing and Screening circuits)Clear water and Slurry Pumping system design experienceCommissioning experienceMust have functioned as a mechanical engineer on EPCM execution project
