Raw Materials Buyer

Our client is looking for an experienced Raw Materials Buyer to manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, experience in the manufacturing industry, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
Responsibilities:Source and place orders for raw materials, equipment, consumables, and packaging in line with quality and safety regulations.Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective pricing and timely deliveries.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Monitor supplier performance by analyzing feedback from relevant departments, such as Quality Control and Goods Receiving.Perform procurement transactions through SYSPRO, including requisitions, purchase orders, and MRP.Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to support departmental objectives.Ensure on-time deliveries while optimizing stock levels and minimizing stockouts.Manage stock rotation within agreed limits and ensure proper stock handling.Address supplier complaints and resolve issues promptly.Conduct cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.Compile and present monthly procurement reports.Stay informed on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging raw material technologies.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.Key Skills:Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Proficiency in procurement software and systems, particularly SYSPRO.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ability to manage inventory levels and ensure efficient stock rotation.Knowledge of cosmetic industry regulations and quality standards.Minimum of 5 years of experience in raw materials procurement within the manufacturing industry.Familiarity with import/export procedures.Experience in the cosmetics industry is advantageous.Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
