IntroductionWe invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Raw Materials Storeman role based in our Cape Town operation, situated at Corner of Glucose Avenue & Kasseslvlei Road, Bellville South, Cape Town, 7530.
The objective of this role is to take responsibility for inventory receiving, inventory storage management, and issuing to production.
This includes tracking inventory from receiving, maintaining complete and up-to-date traceability of stock movement, ensuring minimum inventory levels are always maintained, and communicating with the supply chain coordinator to ensure timely delivery of raw materials for uninterrupted production.
Additionally, the role involves taking ownership of raw material storage in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, specifications, or dictated by legislation e.g., Health & Safety.
Deliverables in this Role: Offload incoming trucksCollect finished products from production and store in the dispatch areaReplenish production with semi-finished products at predetermined intervals to secure production continuityReceive all raw materials into the WarehouseReceive and manage all packaging material into the WarehouseReceive into the Warehouse all semi-finished and finished products from ProductionResponsible for stock takes and daily stock countsIssuing of materialsStock control administrationComplianceGMP gap rectificationPhysical inspection of all raw materials transferred to other plants to ensure correct items in correct quantity loadedLead physical stock counts at the end of the month – ensure all stock is organized and ready for countsProvide timely and appropriate energetic responses to operations requests for information and assistanceMinimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12Qualification in Supply Chain/Warehouse (advantageous)Food Safety Certification (advantageous)2-3 years stock control experience – preferably in a warehouse
