The Rates Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of Tourplan content, interpreting contracts to manage rates, offers, supplier details, commissions, and terms. The role involves quality control of all system-loaded content to guarantee accuracy before product use. The successful candidate will also assist internal sales and reservations teams with rates and Tourplan-related inquiries, ensuring seamless operations across lodges and supplier networks. Key Responsibilities: Manage system administration and maintenance of Tourplan, ensuring content accuracy at all times. Interpret contracts accurately, entering all relevant information—rates, offers, supplier details, commissions, and terms—into the system. Conduct thorough quality control checks to validate data integrity before usage by consultants. Provide in-house customer service, responding to rates and Tourplan-related queries from sales and reservations teams efficiently. Knowledge and Skills Required: Proficiency in interpreting contracts within Tourplan NX (highly advantageous). Understanding of rates, markup, and commission structures. Strong geographical knowledge of Southern and East Africa. High level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications (Outlook, Office, Excel, Word). Exceptional attention to detail, with strong accuracy in figure-oriented tasks to prevent financial losses. Ability to multitask effectively, with strong time-management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Qualifications and Experience: Certificate in Travel and Tourism or a qualification within the same industry. Minimum of 2 years' experience in the travel industry, preferably with Tourplan NX experience.
