Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for a Full-Time Radiation Therapist to join our Team.
As a member of the radiation oncology team, you will administer ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases.
We are equipped with one Varian True Beam linear accelerator, an Elekta Flexitron HDR after loader, superficial x-ray unit, and a departmental CT simulation with 4D capabilities. The clinical scope of our practice is wide with treatments and techniques including VMAT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH, HDR brachytherapy, LDR brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals.
Job ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates general understanding of anatomy and physiology, pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer.EducationSuccessful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification, and maintaining certification.ExperienceExperience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred, but not required. We are considering all levels of experience for this position.SkillsWorking knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapy.Ability to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocols.Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems, and electronic medical records.Experience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDR.Working knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred; Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.BenefitsOffers a comprehensive benefit package that supports our employees' physical, emotional, and financial health.
