Quantity Surveyor (Junior- Intermediate)

Our client is a professional quantity surveying, and construction management practice based in Pretoria, Gauteng who provides services to the commercial, mining and industrial sectors.

They seek a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Junior- Intermediate) Location: Irene (Pretoria, South Africa) Salary: Market related (depending on experience and qualifications) Closing date: End Sept 2024   Duties and responsibilities: 1.1 Preparing estimates of construction costs 1.2 Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts 1.3 Drafting Bills of Quantities 1.4 Site visits and site measurements 1.5 Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates 1.6 Assisting with cost management of construction projects 1.7 Preparing and concluding final accounts Complying with basic office rules and procedures Complying with the procedures laid down by The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession ("SACQSP") Attending all in-house seminars and workshops Obtaining the required computer literacy and skills Working in conjunction with other staff Ensuring compliance with the firm's quality management systems, including establishing a full knowledge of the quality and practice manuals.
Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required: BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of MS Projects, WinQS and DimX.
Quality and attention to detail must be exceptional.
Management of resources is key to this position.
