Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading construction company seeking a Quantity Surveyor for their offices in Durbanville, WC.It's a hybrid role, primarily based at our Durbanville Head Office, yet also involves on-site duties on designated projects.As a Construction Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will revolve around cost control, management, planning, and reporting.Responsibilities also include:Controlling costs to keep projects within budgetManaging project finances and planningCreating detailed cost reportsEstimating and budgeting for future projectsCollaborating with project teamsVisiting sites to monitor progress and costsNegotiating with suppliers and contractorsStaying updated on industry trends and regulationsImproving cost control processesRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fieldValid driver's license5+ years of management experience in constructionExpertise in cost estimation and budgetingProficiency in relevant software toolsMembership in a professional organization, such as SACQSP, is beneficialProficiency in Cost Control, Management, and ReportingExperience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and EstimatingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesCapacity to work independently and collaborativelyOutstanding organizational and time management skills, especially under pressureEffective negotiation and communication skills with peers and consulting teamsAbility to mentor junior staff membersBenefitsSalary negotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
