Quantity Surveyor

Our client requires a site based Quantity Surveyor for projects in and around Stellenbosch , should have a minimum of 3 to 7 years experience with a building contractor .
Responsibilities Manage all quantity surveying functions on site reporting to senior quanity surveyor.Prepare cost estimates and budgetsManage contracts, including negotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.Monitor project costs, identify cost variations, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget.Liaise with site agents, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts to clients and stakeholders.Utilize construction industry software such as CCS and BuildSmart for cost management and reporting. Qualifications and Experience Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying.Should have 3 to 7 years contracting experience in building, with a focus on large building projects, preferably residential and apartment developments.Proficiency in using construction industry software, particularly CCS and BuildSmart.Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
