Our client, a leading Structural Steel Fabrication Company located in Malmesbury, is seeking the services of an innovative, business-minded Quantity Surveyor to join their team.Responsibilities:Work in conjunction with colleagues and clients to establish project requirementsUndertake feasibility studies to ensure the feasibility of proposalsEstimate material quantities, costs, labour and timePrepare tender and contract documentationPerform risk assessments, value management and cost control during projectsUndertake cost analysis for repairs and maintenance workNegotiate contracts and work schedulesValue completed work and arrange for paymentsEnsure that projects meet legal and quality standardsContinually analyse outcomes and write budget reportsAdvise on contractual claims and disputesKeep up-to-date with industry trends and regulationsRequirements:Relevant Quantity Surveying qualificationRegistration as professional Quantity Surveyor will strengthen the applicationProven experienceFinancial and business acumenBigger-picture mentality (lateral thinking)Proficiency in cost estimation software and project management toolsStrong analytical skills and creative approach to problem-solvingComprehensive understanding of construction contracts and legal regulationsExcellent communication, negotiation and teamwork abilitiesExcellent computer skills
