Offering a versatile career path in the construction industry for a young professional.Job Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Paarl, Western CapeEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience Level: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experienceKey Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for property development projects.Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and value engineering to ensure financial efficiency.Manage project costs from inception to completion, including tender evaluations and contract administration.Monitor and control project costs, preparing interim valuations, and final account settlements.Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.Prepare and issue accurate reports related to financial performance, risk, and progress of projects.Utilize WinQS software for project cost management and reporting.Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout project lifecycles.Requirements:A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (Diploma, Degree or higher).Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or property development industry.Proficiency in WinQS software is essential.Strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and project management principles.Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.Good organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Desired Attributes:Passion for property development and construction.Adaptable and open to taking on diverse roles within the company, including project management.Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities.High levels of integrity and professionalism.Gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing property development company.Opportunity to develop a versatile career in both Quantity Surveying and Project Management.Work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.Competitive salary package and benefits.Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
