Details of the offer

Responsibilities:Review Tenders, Bid Documents and prepare Tender Submission Documents.Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project.Review construction designs, specs, plans, etc., and preparing quantity requirements.Interpreting architectural drawings and construction plans and making accurate calculations.Prepare Work Programmes with Construction Timelines, Resources, Cost.Track project progress and Cost during construction.Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections in line with these.Prepare Labour, Material and Plant Procurement Schedules.Measuring and valuing the work done on site.Prepare Cashflow Projections.Prepare and Monitor Daily, Weekly, Monthly Cost Control Tools for Site.Be alert to Variations Items and ensure Variation Orders are in place.Scrutinise maintenance and material costs.Liaise with clients, contractors and subcontractors.Liaise with other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.Keep track of materials and ordering more when required.Dealing with financial and legal problems.Present periodic Cost Value Reconciliation Reports to management and directors.Project Management.Supervision of site works.Preparation of progress meeting reports.Attending and reporting in progress meetings.Attending Technical meetings.Liaising with Project Engineer on technical aspects.Estimating and Tendering.Preparation of monthly Payment Certificates.Preparation of Final Accounts.Cost planning during the design stage and construction period.Negotiating rates with sub-contractors on negotiated contracts.Advising on financial and contractual aspects of contractors' claims.Calculation of quantities from drawings.Measurement of work done for payment and costing purposes.Liaising with Project Engineer/QS on variances and technical matters.Tracking cost and progress of the project.Contract correspondence and records.Cost and quality control for the project.Calculation and ordering of construction materials.Contractual claims including loss of profit and expense, extra works and extension of time.Advising the management on progress and costing at every stage of the project.Measurement and preparation of Payment certificates for sub-contractors.Minimum Requirements:Sound knowledge of construction firm QS processes.Minimum 8 years working experience in a construction firm.Bachelor's/BSc degree in Quantity Surveying.Quantity Surveyor's Registration Council Professional Membership with valid Practicing Certificate.Deep knowledge of Microsoft Projects and other software.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.Ability to organise, plan, and strategize.Great networking abilities.Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Deadline: 2024/09/26
