The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both government and private sector tenders and a solid understanding of construction cost management.Duties & Responsibilities:Implement procurement strategies and cost control processesPrepare tender documents and contracts, including Bills of Quantities (for both public and private sector construction and civil contracts)Prepare and analyse tender costings, ensuring the use of the best available pricingConduct tender evaluations and provide recommendations to management on subcontractor allocationsMinimise project costs as in-house QS, holding service providers accountable for their workAnalyse and forecast project costs and cash flows in relation to the project budgetPrepare and submit monthly Interim Progress Claims for ongoing projectsPrepare and submit Final Accounts for completed projectsProvide advice on contractual claims and manage variationsAttend site progress meetings and ensure all work is valued correctlyValue completed work and issue progress payments to subcontractors, including labour-only subcontractorsPrepare monthly project progress reports, including material and labour requirements, cost reports, cash flow reports, and variation ordersAttend tender briefing meetingsPerform other general estimating or QS functions as requiredPackage & RemunerationSalary negotiable depending on experienceTo start in January 2025Ideal ProfileKey Requirements:Valid Driver's License and own reliable transportProven experience with Government and Private Sector TendersExperience in preparing estimates of construction costsSkilled in measurement of building quantities for bill preparations and final accountsAbility to draft Bills of QuantitiesExperience in conducting site visits and site measurementsProficient in preparing valuations for interim paymentsKnowledge of cost management on construction projectsExperience with notifications and claims for extensions of timeAbility to prepare and conclude final accountsWhat's on Offer?Work in a company with a solid track record of performanceA role that offers a breadth of learning opportunitiesFantastic work culture
