Quantity Surveyor - George, Western CapeReference: CAW005439-NT-1Duties & ResponsibilitiesOur client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our projects by accurately estimating and managing the costs associated with construction, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.Responsibilities:Conducting cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and other expenses.Analyzing project specifications and drawings to accurately determine quantities and costs.Preparing and presenting cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to project stakeholders.Managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.Monitoring project progress and costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and address any cost-related issues.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy.Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred but not required.Please note that only experienced candidates will be considered and contacted.Apply now!
