Based in Cape Town (Constantia or Strand office) and reporting directly to the CEO, this role is tailored for an individual ready to work harder and smarter than the competition, with the ambition to be part of something bigger.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying.PMP qualification is advantageous.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS8+ years of quantity surveying experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.Expertise in high-end residential construction processes.Proven ability in cost control, project management, and driving operational efficiency.RESPONSIBILITIESNew Business DevelopmentDrive growth by identifying and securing new projects.Quantity Surveyor DutiesCost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare competitive tenders and accurate cost estimates for luxury projects.Cost Control & Management: Monitor budgets and cash flow, ensuring all variances are addressed.Procurement: Negotiate supplier contracts for maximum value and quality.Valuation & Reporting: Deliver monthly valuations, payment certificates, and comprehensive cost reports to the CEO.General Management DutiesOperational Oversight: Ensure construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to premium quality standards.Strategic Leadership: Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, standardize processes, and adopt innovative tools.Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate teams, ensuring seamless communication and accountability.Business Performance: Analyze operations and financial performance, identifying opportunities to drive profitability.SKILLSProficiency in DimX, WinQS, and CostX software.Exceptional financial acumen and analytical skills.Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore).Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
