Overview of the Role: You will be working with multi-national clients and contributing towards co-developing creative, technology-based solutions to their biggest business challenges. Working across a range of industries, supporting diverse business needs including branding, communications, strategic planning, customer experience, product development, and consumer behaviour, you will be part of the team ensuring we deliver exceptional insights across quantitative research projects. This is a South African based regional client servicing role, in a work-from-home capacity.

Responsibilities Key Performance Areas: Reporting to the Research Director Quantitative, your key roles and responsibilities would include:

Research Design: Working with researchers across the MDI Africa network, you will help design research proposals that provide answers to client's business questions. This includes participation in brainstorming sessions to establish methodology, creation of proposal templates, and development of the actual proposal. Appraising client briefs together with the research team to understand client needs and business objectives. Demonstrating critical thinking and research knowledge to help the research team produce effective proposals. Helping design quantitative questionnaires that are short, targeted, and enjoyable for consumers to complete. Checking questionnaire scripts for logic and flow before deployment to ensure an optimal consumer experience. Project Management: Project manage and oversee quantitative projects from start to finish to ensure the research team can deliver against agreed objectives, and within required budgets and timelines. Schedule and participate in regular project planning and review meetings. Highlighting any project management concerns with your manager to ensure seamless client service. Ability to work outside of defined parameters and adapt to situations as they change. Prepare simple project costings for your manager's review, including sourcing costs from 3rd party suppliers. Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best project outcomes for MDI. Reporting and Data Analysis: Working with the Research team on all elements of reporting, such as; creating data analysis plans for each project, data analysis, checking of data accuracy, ensuring coding is conducted to a high standard, working with dashboard software, charting of data, and creating report commentary and summaries. Providing insight recommendations that align with the client's research and business objectives. Participating in research presentations to clients. Client Engagement: Proactively sell the benefits of MDI to potential clients. Day-to-day interaction & relationship building with existing clients. Proactive & responsive communication with all clients. Consistent & timely delivery. Teamwork & Collaboration: Effective and efficient team member who demonstrates a strong spirit of collaboration, openness towards people of different cultures, and a proactive attitude to build relationships internally and externally with teams and markets beyond one's own. A hunger to learn, with a passion to grow. Requirements Requirements for this Role: 2-3 years of quantitative research experience within a full-service research agency. (a must) Hands-on project management experience, including liaising with FW suppliers, questionnaire design, field management, data checking, and reporting experience. (a must) Bachelor's degree in: Business Management, Marketing, Psychology, Statistics, or any relevant field of study. Excellent ability to use Microsoft Office – particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Experience with SPSS or other statistics packages. Experience with Mobile Digital Research methodologies and AI preferred. Digitally savvy and technologically curious, with a willingness to learn. Comfortable and good proficiency with numbers and formulas. Organizational and time management skills – self-motivated in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively juggle multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines simultaneously while ensuring work is accurate, neat and error-free. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility to work collaboratively as well as autonomously. Proactive problem-solver, but not afraid to ask for assistance. Task-oriented project management skills. Work outside of defined parameters and be able to adapt to situations as they change. Excellent verbal and written English. (Arabic, French and/or Portuguese language skills would be a plus) Experience conducting research across various African markets (specifically Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria) would be a plus.
