Job Purpose:
To support QMD in the implementation of its strategic plan, policies, procedures and quality management systems by providing support to quality reviews, quality improvement plans, quality assurance, monitoring & reporting; and quality promotion activities of QMD in order to ensure continuous quality improvements, positive student experience and stakeholder satisfaction as aligned with the strategic and management needs of CPUT.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
An NQF level 7 qualification; Advanced Diploma, BTech, or Bachelor's degree.At least 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in a public higher education quality assurance environment.Proven experience in coordinating quality assurance operations such as programme accreditation, qualification reviews, quality improvement plans and quality promotion in the Higher Education environment.Knowledge and understanding of the higher education regulatory environment.A good understanding of data management, document repositories and sharing applications.Report writing and research data analysis skills.Experience in delivering training or guidance to others on quality assurance related tasks.Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities:
Plan for, conduct and report on quality review processes.Conduct Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) and reporting.Manage the process of ensuring the accuracy of data and information on QIPs.Conduct quality promotion and capacity development activities with academic departments in order to ensure understanding and effective implementation of quality policies.Pro-actively identify, support & provide advice on quality management issues to relevant academic departments & support units.Provide support on quality enhancement initiatives by the institution.Proactively assist in promoting quality engagements and maintaining collaborations with national and international universities and quality agencies.Work on allocated tasks & projects with team members, assist in background research and make recommendations into quality management related policies, procedures, systems & instruments, as required, in line with relevant legislation, national standards & international best practice.Participate in the implementation & control of effective data management systems to ensure that QMD can efficiently design, deliver, analyze, report on & store data and information sets related to quality management.Working alongside academic departments and support units to support them in developing, monitoring and reporting on their quality management systems.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, prioritize time, work effectively, multi-task and meet deadlines.Strong people skills, including being a highly motivated confident communicator with the ability to engage with people at all levels in the university and across a range of diverse cultural backgrounds.Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively.Technological astuteness.Professionalism.Data interpretation.General Information:
