Vacant Position Advert MS Mabuya civil Laboratory is looking to fill the position of a quality manager and the incumbent must have an in-depth Understanding the ISO 17025:2017. An ISO 17025 Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining and improving quality standards within an organization. Position Title: Quality managerReporting to: Laboratory Manager Location: Nelspruit JOB PURPOSE · Implementation, Monitoring & evaluation of the quality control and processes created within the group. · Ensure that customer's needs and expectations are met. · Work in-line with the ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. · Ensure that all quality standards including other quality documentation are implemented and maintained. · Operate to the highest standard of ethics as indicated in MS Mabuya integrity programs.RESPONSIBILITIES · Ensure the laboratory comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 Requirements. · Ensures that all processes, procedures, and documentation within the laboratory meet the requirements of the standard to ensure compliance.· Maintain an up-to-date scope of testing and co-ordination of the documentation and standard operating procedures required to comply with laboratory ISO accreditation.· Developing and Implementing Quality Policies to improve laboratory processes i.e. this involves developing standardized operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.· Internal Audits and Corrective Actions: Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system. The Quality Manager identifies non-conformities and implements corrective actions to address them.· External Audits and Accreditation: Coordinating external audits by accreditation bodies is essential for maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation. The Quality Manager ensures that the laboratory is adequately prepared for these audits and assists in addressing any findings or recommendations.· Implement and transfer the knowledge of the QMS to the laboratory & employees. Training and Development provides training to laboratory personnel on quality systems, ISO 17025 requirements, and good laboratory practices. They also ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and understand the importance of quality compliance.· Ensure that the laboratory is furnished with all equipment required to comply with the scope of testing. · Conduct Quality meeting in the laboratory and ensure that Laboratory meeting with the staff take place • Internal Audits including opening and closing of NCR's · Provide guidance and direction to laboratory personnel with respect to quality control and proper documentation in implementing methodologies and data reporting.· Ensure integrity of monthly inputs into the QSHE Report· Ensure that the NCR's are addressed timely. · Ensure to maintain with the Trends & Matrixes required from the ISO/IEC 17025. · Give feedback to Laboratory Manager. · Create and maintain culture of continues improvement. · Evaluate documentation for competencies performed by the Laboratory Manager or Technical signatory. · Maintain & monitor all equipment with regards to Calibration, Verifications and preventative maintenance. · Ensure that Authorised equipment is used in the laboratory. · Execution of all other tasks given by any director of the laboratory. · Generating and maintaining and maintaining the PT/ILC plan of the Laboratory.· Provide constant feedback to Manager on status of quality in the laboratory.QualificationsEducational level or equivalent: · Valid National Senior Certificate (Matric Certificate) · N6 Civil Engineering Qualification· ISO 17025 or College Quality Assurance Program Diploma· Analytical and problem-solving skills · 2-5 years' experience as Quality manager in Civil laboratory · Fully computer literate · Strong administrative skills · A thorough knowledge of Civil Engineering Materials Testing activities · Ability to deliver all project related goals in the required time frame · Good communication and verbal skills in English
