ROLE DESCRIPTIONMonitoring and improvement to the Food Safety Systems HACCP / ISO / FSSC 22000 and meeting food safety standardsPlans and coordinates internal quality auditsOversee and manage all external auditsEnsure that foods are processed, packaged, and prepared according to specific standardsRaise and manage internal and external audit findings, corrective actions and verificationOversee compliance to all regulatory and customer food safety mandates/ requirementsEnsure employees adhere to all Food Safety Policies and lab practicesQUALIFICATIONSRelevant qualification in Food ScienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety role, preferably within the meat/poultry sector.Strong analytical skillsIn-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety legislation relevant to South Africa.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
