Minimum qualification required: Grade 12 or equivalent Chemistry or B Tech Quality ISO 22000, ISO 9001:2005, ISO 17025 Business skills: 8 10 years relevant experience including laboratory practices and compliance to standards Managing Staff and managing a laboratory Experience in managing Quality Assurance Systems Experience in the in the application of analytical equipment Experience in FMCG Vendor Auditing KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Meetings and Reports Ensure timely preparation, filing and dispatch of required reports and ensure vessel specifications and equipment details are updated at all times.
Meet regularly with team leads to review status, advise, and resolve problems Responsible for the compilation and reporting of the quality control check findings.
Provide investigative and research reports on quality issues.
Confer with research and engineers to clarify and resolve problems; prepare design modifications, as appropriate.
Recommend changes in procedures, design or equipment where necessary.
Responsible for the implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Responsible for the periodic internal audits to verify the QMS system is implemented.
Preparation of annual audit schedule as per QMS requirements.
Conduct second party audit on the Suppliers, Consultants and Contractors.
Verify corrective and preventive actions and initiate actions to close out the Non Conformance Report's raised during the internal and external audits.
Preparation of QMS work procedure as and when required to maintain a proper system in the organisation.
Review of quality records and reports on completion of the each project.
Leadership Contribute to project success by providing technical leadership on assigned projects.
Develop and maintain a high-level functional and thorough technical understanding and provide technical leadership.
Recruit, develop, and lead a Technical team to ensure the availability of expertise required to deliver outcomes in all areas.
Manage and take a lead role in promoting and improving quality processes Coaching & Mentoring Fix personal objectives, review performance, and support career development for direct reports.
Oversee the development of staff to meet the standards required to meet business objectives and to minimize risk in key positions.
Oversee the implementation of programs to maximize employees potential for personal growth.
Provide direction and instructions concerning quality matters and administer information management and document control activities.
Investigate all complaints regarding quality and implement corrective action according to the root cause.
Responsible for daily quality checks/inspections anywhere on the site.
Development and implementation of continuous improvements, resolving quality issues and customer complaints and quality systems management.
Health and Safety Compliance Compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities specific to operations.
Promote total job safety and environmental awareness by employees, sub-contractors and stress to all employees and sub-contractors the importance senior management attaches to safety and the environment.
Adhere To all company Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
