Qualifications BSc Mech Eng or B-Eng (Mech) (or similar, Mechatronics, Industrial etc) NHD of B-Tech (Mech Eng) Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) Ensuring all practices and processes are in accordance with the system Ensuring all practices and processes are documented Documenting processes where none exist (e.g.
new products) Conducting regular internal audits of processes and operations (works instructions) to ensure compliance.
Amending documentation when improved methods are introduced.
Responsible for incoming inspection: Measurement and inspection of all incoming goods for compliance to specification.
Completing of relevant Incoming inspection forms Liaison with supplier where product does not conform to specification.
Discuss possibility of a concession with Engineering Manager.
Only the Engineering manager can make a concession decision.
Completing goods return notes (GRNs) where product is rejected and follow-up with our Accounts for appropriate Evolution rejection note.
Completion of Non-Conformance report (Supplier) (NCR) and submit to supplier.
Receive supplier feedback and, when satisfied, close-out the NCR.
Keep all parties (supplier, production manager, engineering manager buyer) informed on status of rejected and replacement material.
Responsible for outgoing inspection: Inspect all product supplied to dispatch by production for compliance to specification.
Reject any product that does not comply with specification and liaise with Production Manager.
Receive any customer originated NCRs, investigate, resolve and close-out NCR.
Maintain a 90% or higher customer rating for product quality.
Oversee the EHS processes and practices In conjunction with the Production manager and HR ensure the factory follows safe and environmentally sound operations Audit the EHS processes for compliance to our documented standards Responsible for overseeing maintenance of factory infrastructure and equipment Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated timeously Liaise with Production manager on regular scheduled maintenance of factory equipment.
Produce CAD drawings using Inventor at request of Engineering Manager
