Quality Controller – Mechanical (Fixed-Term Role)

The ideal candidate will be required to fulfil the following job description, but not limited to:
Inspection of pressurised equipmentProgress of EquipmentVendor document approvalsTrouble shooting on siteDesign of special documentsSmall project supervisionVendor AppraisalsProgress of project documentation (internal and external)Conversant with the South African Labour law & OSHAHave a workable Knowledge of the PER (Pressurised Equipment Regulation as defined in SABS 347)Be able to review local and international welding procedures & Qualification Records.Management of VendorsThe ideal candidate should be in possession of a Technical Diploma as well as a SAIW (Level 2) qualification and be I.P.E registered.
The candidate must have more than 5 years' experience in the quality control of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Knowledge of ASME codes and API is also required.
Knowledge of Sasol SP Specifications will be an advantage.
Knowledge of the P.E.R & SANS 347 is also essential.
