Job Opportunity: Quality Control Manager Retail Division (Frozen Foods Facility) Are you an experienced Quality Control professional looking to join a dynamic team in the retail food sector?
Were seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality and safety standards within our Frozen Foods Facility.
This role is critical to maintaining product integrity and ensuring food safety processes are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations of the Food Safety Management System, ensuring strict adherence to GFSI protocols.
Monitor and report on product quality, issuing non-conformance reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Manage raw materials, work-in-progress ingredients, and finished products, including ordering, testing, and research.
Train staff on food safety and quality procedures, keeping them updated on national and international standards.
Maintain accurate records, including documentation, checklists, and reports on quality control processes.
Lead sanitation programs, including schedules, chemicals, cleaning protocols, and certifications.
Conduct regular product testing during manufacturing stages and ensure all processes comply with safety standards.
Ensure proper management of retention sample systems and the development of detailed specification files for raw materials and finished goods.
Support clients with finished goods specifications, certifications, and traceability from farm to plate.
Lead food safety meetings, report non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
Supervise the facility in the absence of the Production Manager, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with employment regulations.
Assist in production planning, food safety reporting, staffing, and productivity tracking.
Contribute to OHS planning and other administrative duties such as invoicing, stock control, and inventory management.
Requirements & Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and relay information effectively.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to adapt to changing business needs.
Ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including GFSI and HACCP.
