Quality Control Manager

Our client based in the Pinetown area is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the smooth, efficient day-to-day operation of the QC laboratory, providing operational assurance in support of business and strategic requirements.
Requirements:

Master's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry or other relevant degree
PhD in Chemistry preferred
Computer literacy: MS Office, SAP, LIMS
At least 5 years laboratory experience
At least 3 years QC lab management experience in a pharmaceutical or similar environment
Complete understanding of cGMP, GLP and international pharmaceutical standards
Hands on experience with internal and vendor audits will be an advantage

QC Department/laboratory management
Specifications for all material
SAP and LIMS
Analytical methods and QC equipment
Management of external/contract laboratories
Company strategy
Review and reporting of trends
Health, safety and the environment
Support for other company departments
Maintain the quality system to ensure GMP compliance
People management
General administration
