Quality Assurance/Quality Control Team Leader

DutiesAttending food safety and quality meetings, reporting food safety and quality related problems to management irrespective of other functions.Identifying and recording any hygiene/food and quality safety problems and recommending corrective action.Giving advice on areas that could be improved regarding food safety and quality.Ensuring that FIFO principles are implemented within the area of influence.Keeping all required documents and records up to date.Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork up to date.Communicating effectively with both internal and external customers.Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene inspections.Investigating customer complaints, performing root cause analysis, and writing reports.Micro sampling and submission as per schedule.Drawing/updating of SOPs.Training of production staff and QC's on SOPs.RequirementsNational Diploma in Food Technology/Safety.2 years' experience in a Safety and Quality position.Experience in a Food/Beverage and/or FMCG would be beneficial.Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Intermediate computer skills.Report writing skills.Team player.Able to handle pressure and meet deadlines.Desired SkillsIntermediate computer skills.Report writing skills.Desired Work Experience2 to 5 years.Desired Qualification LevelDiploma.About The EmployerOur client is a leading supplier of food, meat, and other products to the catering and hospitality industries in Johannesburg.
