Quality Assurance Manager - Klapmuts

Westfalia Fruit Products, situated in Klapmuts, has a permanent vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Manager.This role will report to the Technical Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for implementing, driving, and maintaining the FSMS & QMS on the standards prescribed.Lead food safety audits from external & internal parties for compliance purposes.Keep up to date with customer specifications and all legislative requirements for the facility.Handle internal and external non-conformances.Lead and train the quality team for the business unit.Drive and meet the compliance levels set for the business.Support systematic performance in the department.Team player with the ability to lead and interact with internal/external customers.Education and Experience:Minimum Diploma in Food Technology/Biotechnology or equivalent qualification through an accredited institution.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role working with fresh produce.Knowledge:HACCP intermediate/advanced.Internal/lead auditing.FSSC22000/BRCGS training will be advantageous.Computer literate.Knowledge of agricultural products will be advantageous.Skills:Excellent organisational and leadership skills.Proven problem solver with ability, confidence, and decision-making skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Manage performance.Planning and coordination.Customer-oriented.Time management.Able to deal with adversity.Show initiative on goals set.Promote collaborative relationships and teamwork.Personal credibility and responsibility.The company offers a total guaranteed remuneration package which comprises provident fund, insured benefits, medical aid, and an option to structure an annual bonus.
