Qualified Diesel Mechanic

- As a qualified diesel mechanic, you must have workshop experience on heavy duty trucks and trailers/commercial vehicles.- Consulting customers and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required.- Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the mechanical/electrical issues.- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the result after suitable solutions.- Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts.- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmission, brakes, engines, and associated parts.- Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 3-5 years experience as a qualified diesel mechanic.Must have a driver's license.Ability to work independently without supervision.Be driven, proactive, and reliable.Computer and manual diagnostic proficiency.Trade test paper is an advantage.Must remain in sober habits.Comfortable working in confined spaces and at various heights.Strong record-keeping skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month.Ability to commute/relocate:Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).Education:Certificate (Required).For applications, please contact ****** or ****** and state your salary expectations.
