Qualified Barista - Pretoria East - Gauteng Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and passionate Qualified Barista to join our café team.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in coffee preparation and customer service, as well as a genuine passion for coffee culture.
You will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages, managing inventory, and providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards.
Operate coffee-making equipment, including grinders, espresso machines, and milk frothers, with precision and care.
Ensure consistent coffee quality by following standard operating procedures for extraction, temperature, and milk frothing.
Engage with customers, take orders, and provide expert advice on coffee options and flavors.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including cleaning equipment and tools daily.
Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients, and notify the manager of reordering needs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Assist with additional tasks as needed, such as processing payments and coordinating with the kitchen team.
Requirements Qualifications : Barista certification or relevant training in coffee preparation is required.
Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a barista in a high-traffic café or restaurant.
Skills : Expertise in coffee preparation, from espresso extraction to latte art.
Strong knowledge of coffee beans, grind size, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Other : Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
