CAREER OPPORTUNITYAn exciting career opportunity exists for someone to perform a critical role within our Business Intelligence department, reporting to the Manager: Information Exploitation & Reporting.JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Qlik Developer the main responsibilities entail making changes to existing Qlik apps including Qlik Nprinting as well as some work on Business Objects.
This involves designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions which using data that is extracted from various data sources.
A keen eye for detail and ability to listen to the client's needs is also a requirement.
Primary Responsibilities Design and develop Qlik applications based on business requirements Develop data models and perform data analysis to support Qlik applications Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure Qlik solutions meet business needs Ensure integrity and delivery of data from the source systems to the target system/s Compliance to Information Management (IM) Service Level Agreements (SLA) with business Develop and maintain Qlik dashboards and reports Optimize Qlik application performance Provide technical support and training to end-users Coach and guide junior Qlik developers Perform peer code reviews Troubleshooting of issues related to Qlik apps Estimate the effort involved to perform project tasks (per specification) Stay up-to-date with Qlik technologies and best practices Ensure compliance to IM policies and procedures After-hours and weekend standby support on a rotational basis Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience developing Qlik applications Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data visualization concepts Proficiency in Qlik scripting language and expressions Programming experience in SQL Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience in agile technology desired (Jira, Confluence, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be able to work independently as well as with a team Time management Competencies Collaboration Client focus Drives results and meeting customer expectations Relating and networking Flexibility and adaptability Cultivates innovation Critical thinking and Analysing Relating and networking Applying expertise and technology Attention to detail ABOUT THE COMPANYSantam is the market leader in the general insurance industry in Southern Africa.
