Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Supervisor with a strong background in QA/QC to oversee the mechanical components and systems of a PV area and substation, such as support structures, mounting systems, and tracking systems, to ensure they are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Activities:
Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards and procedures specific to mechanical components within PV projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
Review and approve mechanical designs, including support structures, racking systems, and tracking systems, to ensure they meet design specifications, safety requirements, and industry best practices
Inspect and approve materials, equipment, and components used in mechanical systems, verifying their quality, suitability, and compliance.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that mechanical components, support structures, and mounting systems are installed correctly and according to design specifications.
Enforce safety protocols to protect workers during mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and preventing accidents.
Oversee and participate in the testing and commissioning of mechanical components and systems, such as tracking systems, to verify their proper functionality and safety
Maintain comprehensive records of project documentation related to mechanical aspects, including mechanical drawings, as-built documentation, and equipment manual
Identify and address defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies in mechanical components and systems, coordinating necessary repairs or modifications.
Provide training and guidance to project teams and subcontractors on mechanical quality and safety requirements, ensuring that all personnel understand and adhere to best practices
Requirements:
8 - 10 Years' experience, 3 years' in a supervisory role
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
Lead Auditor certificate (advantageous)
Experience in quality assurance & inspections of the Mechanical Components
