Who's who in the tech space
The position reports to the QA Director.
Your mission should you choose to accept it:

Lead a team of QA Analysts.
Contribute to the Community of Practice for QA in engineering.
Drive recruitment for the QA team.
Raise development quality by developing processes and best practices for testing in dev teams, in collaboration with the developers and managers.
Collaborate with the engineering management team to effectively build and manage a shared roadmap for the automation.
Contribute to the improvement and refinement of the automation strategy.
Contribute to the automation coverage for both UI and Service based tests through the QA Analysts.
Ensure that the team continues to develop and execute test cases to diagnose issues and bugs that are aligned to the team strategy and best practice for maintainability and reuse.
Ensure that the team creates and manages test data in a sustainable and reusable manner.
Identify testing deficiencies and subsequently drive resolution and priority through collaboration with the automation engineers, engineers, and QA Analysts.
Ensure that the team continues to identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs according to the team strategy and best practice.
Ensure that the team continues to perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Ensure that issues from production are fed back into the test base by reviewing the coverage and updating the test cases where required to constantly ensure adequate coverage.
Increase code coverage across the team's technology stack through careful test identification on unit, service, functional level.
Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate these to team leaders including any impact on the overall project plan.
Implement and drive initiatives to increase visibility of QA progress on projects and build relationships with product stakeholders to ensure that QA is informed well in advance of projects coming their way.
Mentor and guide the test team and developers on test approaches and automation suites.

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of Software QA experience in a software/technology environment is required, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
In the event that a candidate does not have a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Diploma, an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 8 years of Software QA management experience in a software/technology environment, 2 years of which should be in a QA management role.
Experience managing testing throughout the SDLC (development testing, unit testing, API testing, performance testing, system testing etc.).
Experience with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration applications will be an advantage.
Understanding of configuration management and version control.
Demonstrable strong experience of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Experience testing and administering in Linux and other Unix environments.
Experience with unit test frameworks.
Experience with performance and/or security testing will be an advantage.
Experience with selenium, appium.
Experience with Robot Framework will be an advantage.
Flexibility to learn new technologies and explore new tools.
Experience in installing, upgrading, configuring and verifying (smoke tests) virtualized testing environments (VMs).
