As our Software Quality Engineer Lead, you'll support HID's success by: Collaborating with developers and other quality assurance engineers to understand and clarify software requirements, develop test cases, and develop your product knowledge. Communicate with stakeholders to ensure the product best meets their expectations (this includes keeping stakeholders informed during SAFe rituals). Keep up to date with current best practices and trends and promote their adoption in HID. Own the test frameworks (automated and manual) and be responsible for their accuracy, reliability and coverage. Take end-to-end responsibility for projects, coordinating with the team and stakeholders to ensure high quality, on time releases. Oversee the implementation of automated testing and continuous integration. Improving HID's automated testing tools and coverage, including identification of candidates for automation. Helping reproduces errors reported from the field, test fixes, and report results to management. Mentor less experienced QAs and test engineers. Analyse the test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage. Participating in backlog grooming and planning the testing activities ahead of time. This includes ensuring the acceptance criteria are well defined and testable. Keeping track of trends and anticipating problems before the arise in the field. Be a driving force for continuous improvement and more test-driven development. Define processes for and oversee the work done by the other QA/test engineers. Your Experience and Education should include: BS in Computer Science required or equivalent experience 10+ years of practical Software QA Engineering experience Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work with Product Management, Desing and development Experience with functional testing, automation, and regression testing Experience with test planning and test case development Strong background in Quality Assurance methodologies Experience with white, gray, and black box testing techniques and methodologies Ability to manage the interoperability and continuous testing environments Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis skills Strict attention to detail Ability to work with minimum supervision with set priorities We would love experience with any of the following: Experience with Physical Access Control Systems is a tremendous benefit Test lab and test bed development Familiarity with Jira and Test Rail Experience with testing Web Services Experience testing embedded applications Good understanding of networking and ability to configure devices to connect on the network Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD Experience with IoT devices Familiarity with cyber security related tools and testing methodologies Experience with delivering products on a cadence Experience with DevSecOps and tools like Snyk and Zaproxy Why apply?
