Together with our client, a manufacturing company in Centurion, we are recruiting a Purchasing Plant Manager (Sourcing) to implement local and global sourcing strategies to ensure quality products and services are delivered at the optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and on time for all operations.The Ideal Candidate needs to have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in sourcing gained within the Mining or Manufacturing and must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Duties and ResponsibilitiesScope of job:To develop and implement sourcing strategies aimed at reducing TCO while improving efficiencies, inclusive procurement, sustainability targets, and purchasing savings through the sourcing process and effective negotiation.Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders including global category managers, operations managers, and suppliers to derive maximum value for the client through strategic sourcing while ensuring compliance with all internal controls.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesEnsures compliance with the purchasing process, policies, and other statutory requirements.Develops and implements effective sourcing strategies aimed at maximizing TCO reduction, inclusive procurement, sustainability, EBITDA, and other business performance objectives.Executes the end-to-end sourcing process while improving contract coverage, inclusive procurement, purchasing savings, and other relevant KPIs.Identifies, defines, and implements Inclusive Procurement, B-BBEE, and Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) strategies in line with set objectives.Identifies, defines, and implements Inclusive Procurement and ESD opportunities for the benefit of Host Community Businesses.Responsible for Inclusive Procurement, B-BBEE, and ESD reporting.Evaluates supplier performance and makes recommendations for improvement.Effective planning and project management of sourcing initiatives.Responsible for the contracting process as part of sourcing events.Accountable for achieving agreed KPIs and their reporting.Respects all site safety rules including those applicable for the safe engagement of contractors and visitors.Actively involved in safety issues on site and undertakes regular safety observations.Contributes actively to Health & Safety activities.Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.Contributes towards the company's sustainable development objectives.Committed to developing Health & Safety performance.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or Commerce.4+ years of experience in sourcing gained within the Mining or Manufacturing.An understanding of Operational Purchasing and relevant KPIs.Inclusive Procurement experience would be an added advantage.Experience in Host Community Procurement and Engagement.SAP Experience would be an advantage.Previous experience in B-BBEE Reporting in Terms of the Codes of Good Practice and Mining Charter Reporting would be an added advantage.Good commercial and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented and analytical.Decision-making skills.Contracting experience.Supplier Relationship Management.Technical knowledge with previous experience of effectively contributing towards the execution of sourcing events.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Computer literate, with Intermediate Excel skills/abilities.Valid Driver's license and own transport.Salary: Market Related – Depending on experienceStart date: January 2025Only candidates who meet all the minimum requirements stipulated in the advert will be considered.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you don't receive any feedback within 2 weeks of the closing date.Should you meet all the requirements as set out above, kindly email a CV together with supporting documents to ******: Plant Manager – Sourcing
