Reporting to: Financial DirectorPurpose Of PositionResponsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.Roles & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and mitigate supply chain risks.Manage the end-to-end procurement process from suppliers.Monitor and analyze KPI's to track procurement performance and identify areas of development.Negotiate and attain the best possible cost prices for the Company.Maintain a service degree of 96% or above.Ensure that we do not over order stock and keep annual stock write-off at an acceptable level.Attend to special-order requests by customers, sales, and office staff.Maintain good liaison with overseas and local suppliers.Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities while optimizing procurement strategies.Provide quotes to customers and sales staff for articles in our existing range or to be imported as a special order.Deal with customers, sales staff, or internal staff complaints or queries promptly and professionally.Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors while ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.Retrieve shipment information transmitted from all suppliers.Provide direction and assistance to all staff members under your control to achieve desired productivity levels.Provide ongoing leadership in terms of vision, direction, morale, discipline, conflict resolution, management, and career development.Conduct one-on-one talks with all members of your department.Key CompetenciesParticipate in the planning process regarding turnover, gross profit, costs, and staff levels.Recruit staff when necessary, in line with the planned budget.Submit capital expenditure requests in line with the budget.Purchase goods to achieve a balance between stock level, service degree, and gross profit for the company.Initiate individual contracts with suppliers after consultation with the Financial Director.Dispose of non-conforming products after consultation with the Marketing and product departments.
