Public Relations Intern

We are seeking a Public Relations Intern, who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute.
The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the public relations field, provide concrete deliverables, and learn from top to bottom.
Responsibilities and Expectations:Demonstrates an understanding of the Communications Marketing industry and the basic principles of Integrated Communications MarketingProvides administrative support for team including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling and logistics.Researches, outlines, writes, edits and proofreads materials, including media advisories, pitch letters/emails, biographies, reports and fact sheetsAssists with research including analysis of media coverage and online conversationsCoordinates projects and events including inviting media, preparing press kits, attending events and preparing reportsDemonstrates a general knowledge of current social media toolsBuilds a network of traditional and online media contactsParticipates in the new business process, including research, audits and proposal preparationUnderstands internal operations and inter-team cooperationPreferred Qualifications & Skills:Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.Communication, presentation and leadership skills.Outstanding organisational and time management skillsAbility to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignmentsKnowledge of the MS Office suiteDemonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teamsAbility to work in a team with minimum supervision
