We believe our people are the cornerstone of our company and as such we care about the development and growth of our people and teams as much as the development and growth of our business.Air Liquide Healthcare is currently seeking a Public Affairs Director to join the team and represent the business within the industry and political environment across the UK and Ireland. This is a fixed-term role, on a 12-month contract initially.As Public Affairs Director, you will develop and deliver a strategy by paving the way for innovative solutions and efficiencies in the private healthcare market so we can grow our market position. This role would suit a mission focused, public affairs expert with a strong background in delivering Public Affairs activities.Example activities you will complete:Develop and lead the Public Affairs strategy for the UK & Ireland business. This will include the development of strategies of the different offers, to provide the business with its own institutional voice, support and relays within the ecosystem and levers of action allowing it to contribute to the evolution of the UK health system based on the principles of VBHC.Assist the UK & Ireland activities in their various interactions with institutional audiences.Represent the company to stakeholders in the health ecosystem (institutional, health professionals, opinion leaders, patient representatives & trade associations), lead the company network during events and meetings and prepare contributions to public consultations.Ensure the link with the representative bodies, as well as the good circulation of information at all levels, by involving the relevant internal contacts, if necessary.Contribute to the identification of stakeholder strategies, the identification of new opportunities or threats to the company's activities, as well as the optimization of the development of future offerings.Creating and supporting external opportunities for policy positions and insight to be shared with decision makers and their networks.Leading the development and delivery of partnership strategies to expand influence and impact nationally and regionally.Managing the political monitoring approach across UK & Ireland.Overseeing the delivery of events in line with company policy.Providing advice as required to the UK & Ireland Steering Committees on public affairs and market access.Are you a MATCH?Demonstrable experience of carrying out public affairs campaigns in an in-house or agency setting.Thorough knowledge of UK & Irish political processes.Strong research skills, both quantitative and qualitative, as well as the comprehensive knowledge of the commissioning of services within the NHS & HSE.Experience in Healthcare or similar environment would be an advantage but not essential.Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at senior level.Strong written and verbal communications skills (including producing briefing papers, short reports, representing policy positions).Programme/project management skills.Comfortable with an environment of continuous improvement and technology adoption.Ensure project management, manage the budget and the relationship with service providers associated with the implementation of the strategy.Produce various strategic supports (recommendations, stakeholder maps, position paper, biographies, summary notes, white papers, etc.) and operational deliverables (speeches, letters, files for interviews or meetings, reports).Organise institutional events.Carry out political and institutional monitoring.Scrupulously observes the rules of ethics and transparency applicable in the country and within the Group.Master the company's challenges and have a good general knowledge (technical, economic, political and regulatory) of home health issues in the UK & Ireland.Be a force of proposal in the development of health product development strategies.Be autonomous and responsive, and have good interpersonal skills in order to work in contact with a large number of internal and external stakeholders.Our Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
