Minimum requirements for the role:A BSc Degree in chemistry is essential. An honours degree in chemistry is preferred but not essential.Knowledge of analytical chemistry, titrations, material properties, and organic chemistry is preferred.Previous experience working with formulation chemistry is advantageous.Familiar with quality control processes and laboratory standards is preferred.Proven interest and aptitude in analytical and formulation chemistry is preferred.The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks within deadlines and quality standards.The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assisting in the formulation and development of specialty fertilizer products, including slow-release, bio-stimulant, and micronutrient-enhanced fertilizers.Supporting the QC and Head of Chemistry in quality control, research, and development work assisting with formulation and quality assurance of products and contributing to research to develop innovative solutions within the agricultural market.Assisting with formulation and quality control of new and existing products.Performing titrations, sample testing, and other analytical techniques.Collaborating with the Head of Chemistry to develop and improve the liquid amino acid chelated nutrients range and other specialty products.Assisting in research and development of bio-stimulants, adjuvants, insecticides, fungicides, Plant Growth Regulators (PGRS), Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) products, and other innovative agricultural technologies.Supporting the creation of practical solutions for enhanced agricultural product performance.Participating in conducting laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials for product evaluation.Collecting, analysing and reporting data from trials to support product improvement.Assisting in identifying challenges and generating innovative solutions for product development.Generating and developing new product formulations and technologies.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
