As a comprehensive EPC firm, they offer seamless operational management with a diverse team of multidisciplinary engineers.Job SummaryOur client is looking to employ a Proposals Engineer with expertise in tendering and proposals. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers to deliver high-quality technical bids and proposals for both domestic and international projects.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTIn order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:Engineering degree (Mechanical or Process)Strong knowledge of tendering processes and proposal managementExperience in water and wastewater treatment projects highly advantageousJOB DESCRIPTIONThe role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Tendering ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and selecting suitable tender opportunities based on project requirements and business strategyConducting thorough reviews of tender documents, including design documents, drawings, specifications, and data sheets, to clearly define the project scopePreparing and raising pre-tender queries for clarification with consultants and clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the projectAssessing the suitability of components based on project specifications and ensuring that all technical submittals, including method statements, organograms, implementation strategies, and Health and Safety Plans, meet tender requirementsEnsuring that tenders adhere to the company's commercial guidelines and receiving the necessary approvals before submissionTaking ownership of the timely delivery of tender documentation and ensuring that all deadlines are metProposal ResponsibilitiesReviewing requests for proposals (RFP) and quotations to determine submission requirements and identify potential opportunitiesWorking closely with project managers to define the scope of work, develop preliminary designs (PFD, P&ID, GA drawings), and prepare accurate bills of quantities (BOQ)Conducting cost estimation by analyzing preliminary designs and project requirementsEnsuring that all proposals are aligned with process design standards and are signed off by senior managementStandardizing the quotation process across various models, including domestic, international, water, wastewater, and sales modelsManaging proposal documentation and ensuring the timely submission of high-quality, competitive proposalsPlease be advised that only shortlisted candidates that meet the specific skills and experience required will be contacted for an initial telephone interview by one of our consultants.
