We are on the hunt for a professional who has extensive networks and experience engaging with OEMs, EPCs, Subbies, Consultancies, Logistics, and O&Ms providers and the affiliated parties that provide the necessary services to get mega scale projects off of the ground across Africa. The reason your vast networks are so important is because you will be playing a key role in developing winning proposals for major energy projects (100MW+++ per project) - and you are going to need to know who to call on (best quality at the best buck) and of course, navigating the legal and commercial components of the service provider contracts - mitigating risk!
If we were to sum you up - your experience would be stated as: focused on the early-stage development up until the hand over to the construction teams. Responsibilities: 50% Business development (largely proposal development and execution on techno-commercial aspects) and of course - deal closure 30% Contract negotiation, review and execution - with strong knowledge of the procurement process 20% Coordination and project management of the various internal departments (engineering, finance, legals etc) as well as external service providers What will you be doing? Managing and executing on the bid submission deliverables for international and local renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, BESS, and green hydrogen. Non-negotiable that you have at least 5 years of experience in renewable energy technologies, particularly having worked at IPPs or EPC (supporting large projects).
