Property Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented accountant with a passion for the property sector? We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team and manage financial reporting for our growing portfolio.Position: Property AccountantLocation: City Bowl Industry: Property Management/Real EstateQualification: BCom AccountingExperience: 4 years experienceKey Responsibilities:Prepare and manage financial reports for a diverse portfolio of properties.Handle month-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.Collaborate with property managers to provide financial insights and reporting.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements related to property transactions and management.Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors.Requirements:BCom Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.CIMA or studying towards CIMA (beneficial) Proven experience in financial reporting, ideally within the property or real estate sector.Strong understanding of accounting principles, with hands-on experience in general ledger, financial statements, and reconciliations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits.An opportunity to work in a growing property company with career advancement prospects.A supportive and collaborative work environment.
