JOB TITLE: Projects Technical Specialist MEADEPARTMENT: PMOREPORTING TO: PMO ManagerLOCATION: JohannesburgADDITIONAL INFO: 12 Months ContractValid driver's license and own transport.PURPOSE OF POSITIONTo support the Contractors and Customers in the MEA Region during the project's implementation phase.
Prepare the installation procedures and secure technical trainings, ensure on-site and remote support for the Retail, Mining, Commercial and Fleet projects, and ensure quality assurance for different projects technical deliverables.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure Gilbarco Veeder-Root Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance.Comply with every approved operation and installation procedures.Ensure availability for evening and weekend stand-by duty outs.Provide necessary field installation support to Contractors remotely or on site for the implementation of the project scope.Conduct technical trainings when requested for Contractors or Customers remotely or on site for the implementation of the project scope.Ensure all projects technical deliverables are quality assured before handover to support.Assist centre of excellence team as needed, in providing after sales technical support remotely or on site.Continuously expand knowledge of products, services, and features within our portfolio by collaborating with internal and external parties.Create standard work and procedures as needed by the organization and project scope.Creating of Image as per project scope per Country and customer.Prepare the installation staging and deployments procedures and checklists.Support sales staff by creating a detailed Equipment BOM (Bill of Material) to ensure that the project needs are filled to customer specification.Managing of Project on a technical basis to ensure that the highest installation quality is adhered to.Daily management of the contractor technician to ensure we adhere to the project timeline.Daily management internally and with the customers (Daily, Weekly and Monthly meeting).Logging faults or bugs with equipment or software with the supplier(s).DELEGATION OF AUTHORITYAs per the Schedule of Authority.POSITION RELATIONSHIPSInternalDirect Line ManagerMISTPSHRExternalCustomersSub-contractorsMEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (INDICATORS)NM/PI's, HSSE Policies both Customer and Gilbarco Veeder-Root.Quality Audits (all equipment/components pertaining to fuel management system).Projects OTD.Projects Standard of Work.Building of Technical expertise.PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEEducation/achievementsIT or Automation Engineer.Experience/Knowledge5 years' experience in similar field.Safe working practices - HSSE.Flow meters.Forecourt Pumps.Automatic Tank Gauging.Forecourt Controller.Back-office systems.Wireless communication.Point of Sales.Payment solutions.Software integrations.Specific SkillsTechnical Skills.Communication.Planning and organizing.Problem solving.Analytical skills.Fault finding skills.Time Management.
