Salary: Market related packageJob Type: PermanentLocation: MidrandIndustry: Manufacturing / HVACReference Number: RDT.AS.PM.02092024COMPANY DESCRIPTION:Our client, a manufacturer, supplier and installer of specialist equipment, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish a project plan detailing date of shipping, materials on site, start date for installation, day to day activity required to completion, commissioning and handover to customerIssue estimated timeline of installation to Client Logistics, Finance, and Logistics and Service DivisionMonitor material deliveries to ensure scheduled timelines are metDevelop forms and records to document project activitiesCheck materials & equipment prior to shipping, as per B.O.Q. and functionalityEnsure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of qualityHelp create a working environment where everyone feels safe, valued and motivated in accordance with the policies and procedures with particular reference to equality and diversityPerforms other related duties as requiredProject PlanningDefine the scope of the project and costing model in collaboration with senior management (Managing Director)Upon order confirmation, brief draftsman adequately to provide technical drawings and any changes leading up to final design with specifications of equipmentCreate a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the projectManage the timeline for each project accurately with appropriate resourcesDevelop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activitiesBreakdown of allowable cost, quantity, and order date & date of delivery project timeline & issue to procurement to start ordering processIssue final bill of Material / quantitiesWork in close collaboration with Finance Division to control costs for each projectStaff ManagementIn consultation with the appropriate line manager or managing director, recruit, interview and select project staff with appropriate skills for the project activitiesManage staff ensuring completion of contract in relevant timeframeResolve any staff disputes (project team) and carry out any necessary disciplinary, according to policies and practicesPlan and execute site preparation by managing both external and internal resources.
