Project Planner

Location: Northam Platinum MineSalary: R30,000 per month + R5,000 allowanceContract Length: 12 monthsAccommodation: Own accommodation requiredStart Date: ASAPRequirements:Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and plans.Proficient in Microsoft Projects.Background in Project Management (advantageous).Valid driver's license and own transport.Fluent in Afrikaans and English.Must have own accommodation near the site.Key Responsibilities:Project Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.Resource Allocation: Allocate resources (labor, equipment, materials) to meet project deadlines efficiently.Critical Path Analysis: Track and manage critical path activities and address potential delays.Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Record progress deviations and present reports to management and stakeholders.Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Cost & Time Management: Align project schedules with budgets, monitor cost/time variances, and recommend corrective actions.Risk Management: Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.Change Management: Manage schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances and update stakeholders.Compliance: Ensure the project schedule adheres to safety, environmental, and legal regulations specific to mining.Quality Assurance: Integrate quality assessments into the project schedule and coordinate inspections.Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key contact for schedule-related queries and conduct schedule review meetings.
