They offer an innovative environment and a supportive culture, with great opportunities for growth and development.The Project Planner will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, managing schedules, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
This role demands excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, along with advanced proficiency in MS Projects, to successfully deliver on projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using MS Projects to meet project objectives.Monitor and update project schedules regularly, identifying and resolving any potential delays.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth project execution.Prepare progress reports and present updates to stakeholders.Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers to source required materials and components for mining ventilation systems.Coordinate procurement timelines to align with project schedules.Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency.Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.Analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement in planning and execution processes.Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for future projects.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.PMP or equivalent project management certification would be an advantage .Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning within the mechanical engineering or manufacturing industry.Advanced proficiency in MS Projects for project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.Familiarity with mining industry standards and regulations.Experience in cost control and budgeting.
