Position DescriptionJob Title: Project Manager - Subsea Drilling EquipmentContract Type: PermanentJob Purpose: Responsible for the oversight and managing of projects related to Subsea Drilling Equipment Recertification, Overhaul and Repair - including acting as technical authority, facility/deployment scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, goals, and objectives.Responsibilities / Duties / Job Skills:The role involves coordinating various aspects of project management, including evaluation, budgeting, and documentation. It includes overseeing technical reviews, manpower utilization, and on-site surveys. Coordinating with stakeholders, implementing policies, and managing project resources are crucial. This includes procurement, fabrication, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role also involves monitoring project progress, preparing reports, and managing variations or changes. Additionally, it includes training project engineers/managers and staying updated on technical aspects related to subsea drilling equipment recertification, overhaul, and repair. Compliance with relevant regulations and supporting overall company QA and safety systems are essential.ProfileKnowledge:Recertification, Overhaul & Repair of Subsea Drilling or Mining EquipmentPeople managementExperience:8-10 years' experience as a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager in an Oil and Gas, Renewable energy or related environment.Good understanding of Engineering and Oil and Gas related technical requirements.Experience working on recertification/overhaul/repair of subsea drilling equipment (Marine drilling riser and other capital drilling equipment) OR overhaul of mining equipment.Experience in inspection/evaluation of in-service equipment.Good general knowledge of materials utilized in Subsea Drilling Equipment.General understanding of industry related specifications, e.g. API, ASME.General understanding and familiarity of NDE (MT, PT, RT, UT) methods and reports.General:MS Office packages including MS ProjectCAD / Solid worksEnglish and Afrikaans
