Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer.
RandburgSalary range: 50 000 – 80 000 depending on experiencePosition Overview: The Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background will oversee and manage all phases of engineering projects from concept through completion.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Must have experience on process plants.Key Responsibilities:•Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely and successful project completion.•Engineering Oversight: Apply mechanical engineering principles to guide project design and implementation.
Provide technical direction and support to engineering teams and ensure that all engineering aspects meet project requirements and standards.•Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication.
Maintain regular updates with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management, to ensure alignment and address any issues.•Resource Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to secure necessary resources and materials.
Manage project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.•Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.Qualifications:•Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Advanced degree or project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.•Experience: Minimum of [3] years of experience in project management within a mechanical engineering context.
Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects.
